Heidi Entlebucher Needs a Forever Home

Heidi

Heidi Entlebucher, 3.5 years old, is looking for a forever home. Heidi was diagnosed with Ectopic Ureter in early puppyhood and despite operations she has remained urinary incontinent.

Heidi is a very loving family dog who has been in foster care in a family environment until we were happy that her condition is fully stable and she is ready for a home of her own.

Heidi is urinary incontinent. She is happy to wear pants in the house as long as there are no other dogs present.

She is currently in excellent health although this needs to be monitored closely.

There is full information and medical history available as well as ongoing support from the EMDC.

For more information, please email Sarah at rescue@entlebucher.co.uk

Post Brexit Pet Travel

Many of us have taken advantage of the pet passport scheme to travel to the EU with our Entlebuchers in the past. But it’s important to be aware that the rules for taking pets abroad may be changing shortly. If the UK agrees a deal and transition period for leaving the EU, then the current rules may continue to apply while new rules are agreed. However, in the event no deal is agreed, you may need to take action at least 4 months before you travel. Please follow the link below if you would like more information about travelling if there is no deal.

In Memory of Queenie

In memory of Queenie – Queen Viktoria Spod Hradze 4.9.2005 – 14.01.2019 – It is with great sadness that we report the crossing of the Rainbow Bridge by Queenie. Mother of 15 of the UKs dogs and grandmother of 21. Our sincere sympathies to her humans and to her housemate Orson.

100 Entlebucher Mountain Dogs in the UK

Today our breed has reached an amazing milestone. With the arrival of Kylo from the Czech Republic we have 100 Entlebucher Mountain Dogs resident in the UK. From the first one to arrive in 2003, to the tenth in 2008 it has taken us a further ten years to reach a hundred and we are absolutely delighted. Our Club will officially be ten years old next year and it is exciting to be able to celebrate with such a strong base to build from.

Welcome little Kylo, we hope you are your family will be very happy together.

Blueberry SwissArt has arrived

We are delighted to say that Blueberry SwissArt arrived from the Czech Republic yesterday. She is to be known as Cracker. With moves out of the country in the intervening time, she is our 98th dog in the UK.

Welcome to Number 99

Whilst you may just think we can’t count, since our last update we have found out about two Entlebuchers we did not know had been imported. That means that little Kyra Dreamer vom Goldachtal is our 99th UK Entlebucher. Kyra arrived in the UK last night and is now settling in with her new family.

A New Arrival

I am delighted to say that Heidii (from the Kornried E litter) has arrived in the UK and is our 96th dog. Welcome Heidii. We hope you will be a very happy puppy.

2 more dogs

We are delighted to have news that there are two more Entlebuchers in the UK than we previously knew about. Bolishes Happy Ranch (Red) and Brown Lenny Happy Ranch came to the UK last autumn. That brings our numbers to 95. Wonderful news and welcome to you both.
